Final Narrative Report Dec 2021.
Capacity building support to IDPs, FHH, and PWDs through technical and vocational training to build back better, and training on hygiene/infection control in Garowe.
In a bid to smooth implementation of the project within the given timeline and resources, Puntland Y-PEER worked early to figure-out the available teaching materials and manuals for both Solar maintenance and efficient cooking stoves skills. The project team made ready enough teaching, reading and watching materials to ease the tracking and measuring the instructor performance as well as the trainees’ comprehension after the completion of the project. Some of the available teaching and learning materials were written in English language, however, the team succeeded to translate into Somali language since the trainees are not proficient in English language. A total of 35 trainees have benefited from the offered echo-friendly technical vocational education training (production of fuel-efficient stoves and solar installation and repairing). 63 percent of the total trainees were female while 37 percent were male as per program design.
